Creating a Culture for Entrepreneurship at UNI!

Call it the student conference. Call it the entrepreneurs conference. Call it the college conference. Whatever you call it; it's about you. The collegiate entrepreneur and this is your conference.

The Collegiate Entrepreneurs' Iowa Conference (CEIC) was established in February 2002 by the Iowa State University Entrepreneur Club, in partnership with the John Pappajohn Entrepreneurial Centers at Iowa State University, the University of Northern Iowa, North Iowa Area Community College, Drake University, and the University of Iowa.

This statewide conference brings together college students and faculty/staff from all over Iowa and its contiguous states for a day of networking, education, and inspirational speakers. The event is sponsored annually by the five Pappajohn Centers and each year a different Center hosts the event. The conference is FREE to college students, faculty, and staff. The 2009 Collegiate Entrepreneurs' Iowa Conference will be held at the University of Northern Iowa in Cedar Falls on Friday, March 6, 2009, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

On-line registration is now closed. If you need to register for the conference, you will need to call the UNI JPEC at 319-273-JPEC (5732). We will take your registration via the telephone and secure the necessary information to make arrangements for your meals, parking, etc.
IOWA STATE UNIVERSITY STUDENTS: click here to register for a space on the FREE bus from Ames on March 6.

HOTEL INFORMATION: We have made arrangements for group rates at the Cedar Falls Holiday Inn and the Cedar Falls Days Inn for conference attendees for the evening of March 5. When calling please state you are an attendee at the Collegiate Entrepreneurs Iowa Conference. The rate for the Holiday Inn is $89 and the rate for the Days Inn is $59. You may call the Holiday Inn at 319-277-2230 and the Days Inn at 319-266-1222. The Holiday Inn and Days Inn are both located at 5826 University Avenue, Cedar Falls.

AIR TRANSPORTATION: The nearest airport is the Waterloo Regional Airport. It has flights daily to and from Minneapolis. The Holiday Inn offers a shuttle to and from the airport.

PARKING AT UNI: We are encouraging carpooling as the UNI campus is short a major parking lot due to the construction of a parking ramp on the site of that large parking lot. We have secured parking tags to be able to send to representatives at colleges and universities that will be providing buses or carpools to the CEIC. These parking passes will allow the vehicle to park at UNI free of charge in the designated lot. These passes are limited and will not be sent to an individual -- they are only being sent to representatives at colleges and universities who will be driving or handling group transportation logistics. Individuals choosing to drive only themselves or an undesignated carpool will need to park in the UNI visitor lot at the Gallagher Bluedorn Performing Arts Center and pay for metered parking.
