Creating a Culture for Entrepreneurship at UNI!

The Certificate in Entrepreneurship is open to all majors. The Certificate in Entrepreneurship is a six-hour (6 hour) Certificate program for declared business majors and up to a 15-hour Certificate program for non-business majors. Business majors must have junior standing and be admitted to the College of Business Administration in order to complete the Certificate. Business majors take only 130:170g and 130:175g. Non-business majors should take the Introduction to Economics (920:024) course in their freshman year or the first semester of their sophomore year to begin the program. Students should visit the JPEC in Business and Community Services, Suite 128 to sign-up for the Certificate or the College of Business advising office in CBB 321B.

The purpose of the program is to engage students in active participation in the development of entrepreneurial enterprises. They will do this through a combination of traditional course work specifically directed to entrepreneurial ventures and participation in an enterprise experience through the development of a business plan for a new venture and an experiential project.
