Creating a Culture for Entrepreneurship at UNI!

The UNI Entrepreneurship Symposium is an annual Fall event that is designed to to raise awareness among students, staff, and faculty of entrepreneurship in small businesses and at the University. The Symposium will not be held in the fall of 2008 as the Collegiate Entrepreneurs' Iowa Conference will be held at UNI on March 6, 2009.

The John Pappajohn Entrepreneurial Center was pleased to present the UNI Entrepreneurship Symposium on September 26, 2007, from 3-5 p.m. in Maucker Union on the University of Northern Iowa campus. The 2007 featured speakers were successful UNI alumnae and business women. They told about the joys and sorrows of starting a business, where to go for resources and assistance, and everything else entrepreneurial.

3-4 p.m. Linda Lundstrom Cook Keynote
Linda Lundstrom Cook, CFP, Co-Owner of Gilbert & Cook Inc.
A financial planner since 1989, Linda received a BA in business from UNI and earned her Certified Financial Planner designation from the College of Financial Planning in Denver, CO. She is a past president and member of the Financial Planning Association (FPA) of Iowa. She received the 1996 Young Alumni of the Year award from UNI, serves as a board member for the UNI John Pappajohn Entrepreneurial Center. She is the past president for the UNI Alumni Association. Linda is married with two children and lives in Des Moines.
