Creating a Culture for Entrepreneurship at UNI!

The University of Northern Iowa John Pappajohn Entrepreneurial Center in partnership with the Jacobson Institute for Youth Entrepreneurship at the University of Iowa is hosting a youth entrepreneur camp June 13-17, 2011 at the University of Northern Iowa in Cedar Falls. The week-long camp is an excellent and inexpensive opportunity for students who have completed fourth and fifth grades to learn about starting a business. The camp is held from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily at the Unversity of Northern Iowa.

Students from Black Hawk and its contiguous counties will learn how to write a business plan, create business cards and flyers, learn from real entrepreneurs, visit local businesses, and make new friends. Lunch, snacks, materials, and t-shirt are included in the $139 fee. Several full scholarships are available for those in need. Applications are due by May 13, 2011. Transportation to and from UNI is not provided. Lodging is not provided.
